Fun-Fit ….. committed to person-centered activities, enhancing community access and integration and building lasting meaningful community partnerships .

Choices Adult Day Services program, Fun-Fit promotes healthy lifestyles, creative choices, community access and integration, with documented results in increased physical activity, including weight loss and decrease in the need for medications and, in some cases, the elimination of medications.

Beginning in 2007 as the first of its kind program in Ohio, the success of Fun-Fit has seen the program expand to include:

-Atrium YMCA (Butler County)

-Clark County YMCA

-Countryside YMCA (Warren County)
-Englewood YMCA (Montgomery County)
-Hattton Center at Safe Haven Farms (Butler County)
-Vandalia Recreation Center (Montgomery County)
-West Carrollton YMCA (Montgomery County)
-Xenia YMCA (Greene County)
-The Y at the Heights (Montgomery County)
Fun-Fit is open to individuals 22-years-old and older at no cost and who are County-Board eligible (Medicaid Waivers,) including those directly served by Choices, as well as eligible community participants. Individuals with physical challenges, as well as those who are medically fragile, are integrated into the program.

Fun-Fit operates Monday-Friday, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Door to door transportation is provided to and from Fun-Fit locations, including transportation for a variety of ongoing field trips and community outings.

The Kleptz YMCA, Huber Heights YMCA, and Sinclair Community College and their volunteers and students have received state and regional awards for their advocacy and leadership as part of our Fun-Fit program.

Sinclair Community College Health Sciences and Technology were 2019 recipients of a regional Erin Ritchey Memorial Award (DD Hall of Fame) for their ongoing partnership with our Fun-Fit program.

Choices' began the first of its kind service in Ohio in 2007 with the establishment of the first Fun-Fit site at the Englewood (Kleptz) YMCA and now has 12 sites in seven counties. Fun-Fit promotes healthy lifestyles, creative choices and community inclusion. We have documented results in increased physical activity, including weight loss and decreased need for medications, and, in some cases, the elimination of medications. Individuals with physical challenges, as well as those who are medically fragile, are integrated into our Fun-Fit programs. We also foster increased social interactions, increased awareness and mutually beneficial community partnerships. Fun-Fit participants are fully-participating members of their YMCAs or Recreation Centers, with access to all services.
Fun-Fit operates Monday-Friday at YMCAs and Recreation Centers. Participants may also choose to take part in field trips and community outings. We provide transportation to and from Fun-Fit sites, as well as for field trips and community outings. Service ratios vary from one staff to three participants, up to two staff for ten participants, based on identified needs.
